Blogging Community

Many good blogs have failed because of lack of content. Bloggers often find themselves unable to cope with the attention it demands. We see this repeated again and again as bloggers get all fired up at the beginning, full of dreams and hopes of making their mark in cyberspace. At the start they post like crazy but soon they find that other things start demanding attention too. They are often faced with the reality that their relationships need time and that they need to earn to support what they love doing. One effective way to combat this is to turn to community blogging.

So what are the characteristics of a community?  One it is composed of groups of people who purposefully come together or gather around a common reason.  Stronger groups turn that shared interest into a passion.  Two, communities meet at a place. Three, most communities also have a leader who helps maintain momentum and encourage others to participate.

So stop being a lone ranger and acknowledge that you are not an island. Blogging is easier to handle when it’s done with a team. Take the coconut broomstick as an example, take each midrib separately and they’re easy to break but when bound as a unit it is resistant. Blogging communities develop their own niche but are able to present topics in a wide range within that niche. They are able to post with optimum frequency ensuring a huge audience. Participation in a community is also an excellent and inexpensive way to receive technical content and get educated. Stuff that you would otherwise take a big chunk of your time to research will be most likely be dropped on your lap by others in the community.

Imagine the posting ability of a team of 15 more contributors as compared to a lone blogger. A team will be able to cover many angles and the unique personality of each contributor within the blogging community adds to the dynamic of the site. What makes it a true community is that bloggers share interests and passions. Asking a question, answering a question, or just staying up to date with the latest news and information are some of the interactions happening inside the community. This is similar to exchanging calling cards. Going the extra mile like - linking to other articles, sharing videos and PDFs puts you forward a someone who shares good stuff - strengthens your relationship with your readers. Facilitate interaction and communication between your readers, and between your readers and your contributors. This will generate return visits as you give them a sense of belonging - a sense of community.
